Large-scale nitrogen generator equipment for the petroleum industry has been shipped
The large model of 2500Nm³/h 99% PSA nitrogen generator equipment applied in the petroleum industry has been shipped. The equipment is split into two sets of nitrogen generators. The processing capacity of a single set of equipment is 1250 cubic meters per hour.
Nitrogen molecules consist of two nitrogen atoms bonded by a triple bond, which has very high bond energy. This makes nitrogen highly stable.
Under normal temperature and pressure, nitrogen is stable and does not easily react with other substances. For example, it does not react with common chemicals such as acids, bases, and salts, nor does it get oxidized or reduced by most oxidizing or reducing agents. This property makes nitrogen a suitable inert protective gas in many situations, preventing other substances from being oxidized or undergoing other chemical reactions.
Therefore, in oil and gas extraction, nitrogen can be used as a driving force for oil recovery.
In oil and gas storage and transportation, nitrogen is used to seal storage tanks, preventing oil and gas from evaporating or oxidizing, thus ensuring the safety of the storage tanks. It can also be used for pipeline purging and pressure testing.
In the refining and chemical processes, to prevent the formation of explosive gas mixtures from hydrogen and air during hydrogenation reactions, nitrogen is used to protect the hydrogenation equipment.
